Chartered status has been awarded to the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, the professional body for the plumbing and heating industry in the UK. From summer 2008 the IPHE will become the 'Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering'.

Branch Committee Members for Years 2009 and 2010

The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering - Hong Kong Branch is the professional body for the Hong Kong plumbing and heating industry. Its main objectives is to advance for the public benefit and education of the public, the science, practice and principles of Plumbing and Heating Engineering in Hong Kong region.

The HK Branch will continue to implement the objectives as set out by the Institute including training and further public education of plumbing. It originated as The Institute of Plumbers - Hong Kong Council. The Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering - Hong Kong Branch came into being in July 2008. The new title better reflects their scope of work and firmly identifies plumbing and heating as an engineering discipline.
